One chair maker, one chair at a time...I make my chairs by hand
using the same tools and techniques as the Colonial craftsmen of long ago.
From splitting the logs to scooping out the seats - it's all done in
our Ohio shop. Each chair leg is turned individually without the use of a
duplicator. When completed, each chair is signed, and dated with the year
it was made. After completion, my assistant applies a traditional painted,
hand rubbed finish. We also handcraft a variety of tables, and custom
furniture using antique pine, maple, oak, hickory and cherry beams reclaimed
from barns and other buildings around Ohio.
