Fred Emhof's precision taper reamer is made from high carbon tool
steel and shaped with an 11 degree included taper. This is the correct angle
for the tenon of the legs as well as the arm post ends of the Windsor chair.
This reamer is made with one cutting flute and has been relieved to
allow it to cut properly.
The body of the reamer encompasses about 3/4 of the cone which provides
a good amount of support during the cut and will faithfully follow the previously
drilled hole. The reamer is heat treated and tempered and comes sharpened
and honed, ready for use on arrival.
